  • Ok, it's naptime...

  • 27°. No snow over night around here. My side walk is still clear from yesterday.

I just popped over to Safeway. 90% of the few cars on the road are SUVs. Some stuff at the store was sold out.

Watching McHale's Navy last night. Along with Ernest Borgnine, there are Tim Conway (Ensign Parker) and Gavin McCleod (PT boat crew). Joe Flynn (I think his name) plays Capt. Wallace Binghamton, he went on to play villains in forgetable Disney comedies in the 1960s.

  • 32° and the sun is shinning for the moment. Very nice outside. I notice that the 4WD vehicles driving on the street most of them have chains on.

I walked down to the junk store. Closed, of course.

Move along. Nothing to see here.

25°, yuck. I'm going to watch the weather report tonight with the hope that they are going to say there will be a break in this horrible deep freeze! No wind, though, so that's good.

I'm going to walk over to Safeway and get a Hostess Apple pie. I deserve a treat.

    -------------------------------------------------------------

Later. Oh, there was a brisk breeze from the north after all. I should have worn a sweater under my coat...

  • 34°. Except for a few flakes an hour ago, there hasn't been any snow yet.

I ran R & A up to Kingston this morning. Rain has to drive the little kids to the dentist...

There was a sun break today but it's mostly cloudy.

  • The neighbor across the alley has a suet packet in a little cage hanging from a tree by a string. So a couple of hours ago there was a little grey squirrel hanging onto the cage trying to eat the suet! I didn't have the patience to watch to see how he got off the cage, I suppose he just dropped to the ground...

Nice and sunny but, man, cold for around here.

On 'Weekday' [kuow.org] they are talking about insects and what they are doing over the winter.
