    • Lie To Me is on channel 13 (FOX).

Got to bed real late last night and then didn't fall asleep immediately. Was really sleepy around noon when my break time came up so I went out to my car and took a 20 minute nap in the back seat. I felt 100% better afterwards. I keep a kitchen timer in the car to wake meself up otherwise I would sleep too long and it would very bad. It was nice and warm in the car. Perfect.

Watched my shows tonight. Hell's Kitchen came on after Survivor so I didn't need to miss either...

The boss is cooking for some kind of party tomorrow. I know because someone said they ordered mushrooms—that's a dead give-away. So extra work for moi.

  • Frosty. The sun is out and the temp indicator says 39° so the frost should go away momentarily.

I gots the vcr set up to tape Survivor tonight even though I would only miss five minutes or so of it by the time I get home.

One of the dogs next door was barking madly five minutes ago but it's done now.

Motorcyclist sped by the house at top speed, par for the course around here.

  • Hey, I'm watching this show called Lie To Me which is like The Mentalist a little bit but even better... In Lie To Me they keep using photos of prominent politicians to illustrate various conscious and unconscious deceptions, haha.

Today was burn & yard work day up at Hansville. Hmm, good fun. Well, I got in a short nap.

Ken Griffey returns to Seattle! Whoo hoo! (Like I care.)

  • Six Star

I went to Albertsons at Poulsbo Village shopping centre after work. I got some stuff there and then I went over to Six Star, which is just a couple stores over from Albertsons, to have a last look around. The Six Star is having a going out of business clearence sale. I used to take the kids there when they were little tykes. The store basically didn't sell anything that cost more than ten dollars. The kids always wanted to get the $10 toys and I always wanted them to get the $1.59 toys. So we compromised and got the $1.59 toys plus CANDY. One thing I noticed about toys for kids is that they were generally good for about five minutes of amusement (at the most) whether they cost $1.59 or $39 so the cheap solution was best. Nowadays people go to Wallmart for their cheap toys, cleaning supplies and gewgaws and Six Star recedes into the past.

  • 11:30 AM
37° and mostly sunny. There is still snow on the ground but the street looks totally clear. I'm going to run up to Hansville in a few minutes but I have to stop off in Poulsbo for a few minutes along the way.

I already had lunch (Coca-Cola and peanuts) so don't worry about that.

    7:02 PM
Brrrr, 28°. There are a few shreds of snow by the fence otherwise it's all gone.

Someone called from something called 'The Ark' wanting to know if I had any clothes to donate. Since I get most of my clothes from the thrift store I don't think I should send them on a return trip.

    8:13 PM
It's gone up 2°. I just ran over the the thrift shop down the street. I picked up the 2004 WSU Alumni Directory for $2. Now I realize that I'm a bit alphabetically-ordered challenged.

  • Snowday

    11:02 AM
32° at the moment. The weird thing is that it has been snowing lightly for several hours. There was a half inch of snow on the roofs when I awoke, it got melted or washed away by rain and now it is back to snow. Hmm.

    1:25 PM
Hmm. It is now snowing for real. It is sticking to the roads. Can't go up to Kingston in this type of weather. I think I wander over to St Vinnies before they close up early and go home...

    2:20 PM
Steady snowfall. St Vinnies was open but they didn't have any good stuff. Wycoff Street is slushy with wet tracks where the cars drive. It's not fit for man nor beast outside. I did notice that the neighbor  across the alley had a flock of birds in her trees and they were singing  twittering in the falling snow. I don't expect a lot birds in a snowy scene like that. Hmm.

    4:25 PM
Everything is covered with snow, but it has stopped snowing and it should start raining and clear everything up. I watched Judge Judy and now the CBS Evening News will be on.

  • I didn't get a chance to watch TV tonight. Too busy playing RHP chess and researching Xbox mods. One thing about RHP: if you become a member they will keep charging your credit card forever even if you don't play any more, even if you have TWO memberships. I'm just saying.

    Weather: just fine.

    Rain: not even. Hurray!

"Let me bring you ep-to-speed. We Know no-sing. You are now ep-to-speed." Quote from the ad for the Pink Panther movie with Steve Martin.

  • Foggy. I hear the fog horn this morning. It's 25°, brrr.

Hmm, don't know what type of dogs those puppies are... They are in Australia of all places, I believe, not that that influences what their breed is—unless they're part dingo.

It's frosty this morning. The pic was  posted in the Puppy (Linux) Developer Blog by Barry Kauler.

  • Letterman is just coming on. Steve Martin, the famous comic actor, in on tonight's show.

I slept in real late today. It was 1PM. That was fine.

I went to Safeway and got snacks and stuff.

I have started playing email chess again. My opponent maki1 has already gone off-book and I'm trying to figure out what to do.
